1. - REFINERY

1.1- HYDROTREATMENT

Petrobrás has actually 18 plants for hydrotreatment, 11 for fuels and 7 for lubricants and paraffins. The table bellow presents the volume of catalysts for these units.

With the ongoing of new plants the prevision for the next years and the tendency of inventory of catalysts for hydrotreatment in Petrobrás is as follows:

1.2 - CATALYSTS FOR FCC

Petrobrás has 11 units in FCC process,and an inventory of 2,275 m³ of catalysts. Considering a diary need of reposition in the actual units, the total consumption is approximately 20,500 tons/year.

These numbers do not consider two new units: RECAP e RLAM II. Both will increase the annual consumption to 23,000 ton/year with the beginning of RECAP activities and then to 31,000 ton/year, approximately, when RLAM II starts up.

Figure 1 displays the evolution of catalyst consumption for HDR and FCC in Brazil.
